Enzo MARI

Born in 1932 in Novara, Enro Mari is generally considered to be a major political conscience in contemporary design.

His humanism, largely marked by communism, has inspired his programmatic work on form since 1952. Developed theoretically in teaching, writing, and producing didactic exhibitions, and visually in painting, sculpture, graphics, children’s books and games, and then in the design of objects and furniture. Enzo Mari’s critical and protest system has largely contributed to the definition of the issues that have crossed and linked art and design for over 50 years.
